Keep your data intact.

Installation and permissions

Use the exact installed app in Applications. Grant Full Disk Access explicitly if you choose, then quit and reopen if macOS requires it. Use Check read access and Retry monitoring. A successful read check is not a supported query of the Full Disk Access switch.

Confirm conversation consent

After an interrupted session or legacy upgrade, review and explicitly confirm only conversations you still authorize. Start, retry, read-access recovery and Pro cannot grant consent. Revoke instead if you do not authorize capture since the saved checkpoint. Existing archives are preserved.

Archive locked or unavailable

Keep the encrypted archive and Keychain entries intact. Never reset or delete them to work around an unlock failure. Record the app version, macOS version, installed path and non-sensitive error description for support.

Activate or restore Pro

Real activation is not configured. The prepared Settings flow accepts an activation code only when a trusted service is configured, verifies the signed entitlement and saves it in the encrypted archive. Lease expiry means reconnect to verify; it does not expire a permanent purchase. Invalid codes do not unlock Pro.

Known limits

Monitoring must be running with valid consent and read access before capture. Originals removed before capture cannot be recovered. Edit and unsend observations depend on undocumented macOS database structures. Remaining hardware, security, Gatekeeper, upgrade and larger-archive validation is required before launch.

Privacy-safe reporting

Do not share message text, contacts, screenshots containing private content, archives, activation codes or keys. Report reproducible steps using harmless synthetic examples and non-sensitive error categories.
